Before you start
You need a ChatGPT plan that allows custom connectors, and the Reddit account that manages the ad account. No API key, no developer app, nothing installed.
The server URL is https://mcp.redditadsmcp.com/mcp.
Steps
Open ChatGPT and go to Settings, then Connectors.
Choose Create. Name it Reddit Ads MCP, paste the server URL, set Authentication to OAuth, and click Create.
Click Connect. Sign in with the Reddit account that manages your ads and click Allow.
In a new chat, enable the connector for that conversation, then ask: "List my Reddit ad accounts."
ChatGPT asks you to enable a connector per conversation. If the model says it has no Reddit tools, that switch is usually the reason.
What it can do in ChatGPT
The same tools as everywhere else, because the capability lives in the server rather than in the client. Reading the account, reporting on it, comparing periods and ads, and, once you grant a write tier in the conversation, changing budgets, bids, targeting, and status, and creating campaigns, ad groups, posts, and ads.
Notes specific to ChatGPT
- Long reports are easier to read if you ask for a table. The tools return structured data, so the model has the numbers, not a screenshot of them.
- Write tiers are per connection, not per chat. Enabling writes once holds until you set it back.
- If the connector disappears after an update, recreate it with the same URL. The Reddit grant survives.
